It’s a thought that runs through many people’s mind when they get paid. And with tomorrow being the last month of January, we’re going to help you decide on whether to save or whether to spend and shop.
You may have a number of things you want to purchase, and perhaps they were items you never got at Christmas, but saving may actually be a better decision. Shopping on payday can occasionally leave you short for the rest of the month, and if you’re able to save a sufficient amount over several months you can begin to buy the items you need without breaking your bank.
There are plenty of people who wait for payday and go shopping, and you may find that there’s no alternative, and if you desperately need to go shopping then there’s no problem with that at all. Christmas hits our banks hard, and then with the long month of January out the way, you may feel as though it’s time to treat yourself and good on you. Only you can decide on whether or not to spend or save this month, but we say to trust your own instinct, and of course work out your essential expenses before you do any big spending.
